Testosterone - For Women
Though women produce a much smaller quantity of testosterone than men, it is nonetheless a vital female hormonal component. Also produced by the ovaries and adrenal glands, testosterone deficiency in women can lead to a host of problems, most frequently following childbirth.
Insufficient female testosterone levels can cause:
- Loss of sex drive
- Abdominal weight gain
- Loss of muscle tone
- Reduced bone mass
- Risk of fracture
- Fatigue
- Wrinkles
